HELMET OF SALVATION

THE HELMET OF SALVATION

The Helmet of Salvation – it is most important that you allow God to control your mind, your thoughts, and your words.

“Whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are good, whatsoever things are just, let me think on these things.”

For me personally it is important to make sure what I say on these videos and what I write, whether it is on this blog or in my next book, are correct according to Scripture and represent Jesus and glorify God.

For all of us, we must speak the Word of Truth. Putting on that helmet gives us the visual of how important it is to protect our mind.

The roman soldiers had to protect themselves with a strong helmet to stay alive.

TO STAY ALIVE FOR CHRIST

We as Christians now, putting on the helmet must realize how to stay alive for Christ. To keep our walk for and with Him always to glorify Him.

To receive salvation is to be delivered from our sins and the harmful consequences that come along with them.

Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price by being crucified on the cross so that we might have eternal life if we believe in Him.

The consequence we deserve is death, but Christ stood in for us out of His great love.

We can receive salvation if we confess our sins and believe in God’s Word.

John 5:24 says, “Very truly I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.”

Salvation is not something we can work toward. Rather, it is a free gift we receive if we believe in God.

The helmet of Salvation is keeping that gift from God protected by what we do, think, and say.

We can find peace when we acknowledge the sacrifice Christ made for us. While this world is corrupt and filled with sin, our salvation acts like a helmet in the way it protects our minds.

DO NOT CONFORM TO THIS WORLD…

As Christians, we are not to be of this world.

Romans 12:2 says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

When we put on the helmet of salvation, we can avoid sinful thoughts and understand what is good and true. When we forget to do this, we are susceptible to thoughts that are planted in us by the enemy, who seeks to harm our walk with Christ.

I encourage you to put on the helmet of salvation in your daily life so that you may be confident in Christ.

Go through the motions of putting on the armor, make it part of your morning make up, or shave. Watch yourself as you put it on. Put it on with determination.

Remember that to keep it secured, we must fully submit to His ways. When God is on our side, there is no battle we cannot face in this world.

HOW DO YOU SHARE CHRIST EVERY DAY?

I send devotions and daily prayers to several of my children and grandchildren.

There are times I don’t hear a response for days, but then the heart pops up with a message that says – “grandma, or mom, this is just what I needed to read today”. That, that right there is worth a thousand responses.

Saturate their mind with the goodness of God, with His love. Help them understand what discernment is and how to stand strong. Don’t fret over a response. It’s like a gift, you give a gift and that’s it. Once it is out of your hands it is no longer your concern. When we give the gift of God and His Word that is a gift that stays with them.

Thank you for your Word and Your teaching. Be with us today, guide us and help us to remember to put on your armor every day. In Jesus name, Amen.
