Do you have an attitude of gratitude?

Welcome To Monday With a Mission

Always rejoice, constantly pray, in everything give thanks. For this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.             1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

My son gave me a small painted sign that I keep where I spend time with God each day.

It’s a message that is a great reminder to start each day with a grateful heart.

A heart that is ready to be used by God.

A heart that forgives, loves, shows grace and mercy in every situation.

Is it always easy? No.

Jesus gives us the perfect path to follow when we look at His life.

He was confronted by the world – the enemy, sin, deceivers, people who hated Him, those who tried to trick Him,  even those who plotted to kill Him.

When we start each day with a grateful heart, think about what happened the day before.

Can you show more grace today?

As I have shared previously, when I asked God to take the scales off another person’s eyes and heart, He reminded me, ever so gently, that I needed to take them off me first.

That is my way of reminding myself to have a grateful heart each day. To be ready to forgive, love, give grace and mercy to those who may be facing a situation I have no clue about but has worn them to a thin thread.

I pray that with that grateful heart I can give a smile, a hug, encouragement when needed or a listening ear to that person that God WILL place in my path that day.

Thank You, Jesus, for giving Your life for us. Remind me of that grace and mercy You show me I must show to others. Thank You for loving me.  In Jesus name. Amen
